OSACO Group
Independent Organisational Investigations
At OSACO, we believe that global systems work better for all people when they are underpinned by high levels of ethics and transparency.
Through our investigations’ service, we can support you to create a more ethical workplace and safeguard your organisation from the threats and liabilities that people can create.
The OSACO Advantage
Expertise
We are experts in investigations. OSACO employs a global network of more than 60 specialist consultants who are highly qualified and experienced investigators, lawyers, ex-police officers and skilled development and humanitarian professionals.
Trusted
We are a trusted provider of investigation and capacity development to the UN , International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) and businesses across the globe. We are also aligned and/or accredited with a range of international organisations.
Experience
Collectively our global team have undertaken investigations - remotely and/or on-the-ground - into sexual abuse, exploitation and harassment (SEAH), administrative anomalies, compliance, fraud, corruption and conflicts of interest (amongst other things).
Flexibility
Our investigations are not one-size-fits-all – we create a bespoke approach for each client’s needs and scope. This includes assigning consultants with relevant experience and language fluency to your investigation.
Global
In-house risk management expertise enables us to go where others won’t and we can undertake investigations in any country not currently engaged in armed conflict. Some of our services can also be delivered remotely.
Quality
Our network of investigators follows the principles of OSACO’s own investigative training courses using a trauma-informed lens and survivor-centric processes to deliver investigations that meet international standards under the oversight of senior managers.
Need an objective investigation into a workplace issue?
The OSACO Promise
We will tell you what you need to know.
It may not be what you want to hear, but our independent, honest and fair investigations will identify the issues you need to resolve.
Our prime purpose when you engage us is to enhance your integrity and strengthen your compliance and you can trust us to do this because:
- We are not a partner in your business as usual (e.g. providing legal advice or employee services);
- We do not enter into any investigation with a pre-determined point of view; and
- We have access to a wide range of real-world expertise that can identify and minimise your organisation’s risk and liability.
We will also provide you with recommendations that, when acted on, will instil confidence in your stakeholders and help you become stronger, safer and more compliant.
How it Works
Our standard methodology for undertaking investigations is as follows:
Additional Support and Services
Investigation Pods
Investigation Pods provide the power of many.
They are a team that can be deployed to address a particular problem area - generally investigation overflows - within an organisation, for a set period.
Investigation pods support you to address significant, complex or multiple concerns, ranging from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment through to fraud and corruption.
A dedicated Investigations Manager provides leadership and direction to the team, which can range up to six FTE investigators. The pod can be flexible and scalable, depending on your needs, and its team-based approach ensures peer review, assurance of quality, and an embedded external leadership structure.
In brief, an Investigation Pod:
- comprises an Investigation Manager and up to six FTE investigators
- delivers 100 - 120 investigation days per month.
- delivers flexible services and hours tailored to your organisation’s needs
- is scalable – can be increased in size or deployed for multiple fixed-term contracts.
Investigations Training
As qualified and trusted investigators, we can also support organisations to build in-house investigations capability within their own teams.
OSACO Group’s gold standard Certified Training Programme for Misconduct Investigations offers relevant, effective, tested and tailored training to meet investigative needs within and beyond the workplace.
Over four-days (in-person or online) we will explain the process, protocols and practicalities of effective investigations, providing guidance on what really works and what to avoid. With pre-assessment, in-person training and hands-on role play in complex scenarios, team members will learn trauma-informed interviewing techniques and become equipped to better understand and handle internal investigation concerns.
