About Me

(Ret.) Deputy Chief Patrick Brusch is a senior law enforcement consultant with over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in public safety, criminal investigations and strategic planning.

Throughout his career with the Fairfax County Police Department, Patrick successfully led high-profile investigations, oversaw a significant operating budget of $200 million, and was instrumental in expanding officer wellness initiatives and community engagement efforts. His expertise in crisis management and interagency collaboration has made him a key player in fostering public trust and enhancing community safety.

Patrick's extensive background includes commanding major crime investigations and directing specialised units focused on organised crime, narcotics and child exploitation. He has a proven track record of driving innovation through data-driven policing initiatives and developing policies that enhance accountability and training within law enforcement.

An alumnus of George Washington University, where he earned a Master’s in Forensic Science, and the University of Maryland, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Criminology & Criminal Justice, Patrick is committed to continuous improvement in policing practices. His contributions have been recognised through various awards, including a Team Excellence Award for his work on Operation Covid Crackdown and the Public Service Award from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
