Steve Gibson

About Me

With a 23-year career in the Royal New Zealand Navy and seven years spent working for the United Nations in some demanding locations and settings including Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan and Greece, Steve is motivated to work with OSACO clients to help them understand issues that may harm their organisation and to explore practical ways to reduce that harm.

Steve’s background as a qualified project manager with an in-depth knowledge of supply chains allows him to apply rigour and a detail-orientated focus to his work within complex organisations and to apply that understanding to provide advice about practical steps and actions to reduce risk.

Steve’s main area of work is risk management advice. He was previously the Senior Risk Management Advisor to the Country Directors in Sudan and Greece for UNHCR.

Steve has a unique combination of experience and is able to harness his real world awareness of the private and public sectors to the work that he does.

“OSACO is an honest, ethical and values-driven organisation and that appeals to me strongly. I believe that is reflected in the organisations that choose to work with us and is a powerful base for doing effective and meaningful work that makes a difference for organisations and the people within them.”
